Comments and Reviews from users:

Bryan Henderson: “I have used several other fitness tracking apps. Most are really hard to work with - at least their free version. But the Adidas app is really good. I have never had it quit mid-activity on its own (others have); it measures distance instead of the ridiculous "steps" (which leads to easy cheating in any challenge); you can leave a comment on anyone's activity, but the world will see it, so it keeps everything pretty family-friendly.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Zhihao: “The original sharing page was a lot better—simple and straightforward. The new layout features a weird, oversized font and feels more cluttered. Why change something that isn't broken? Please consider reverting to the original design. And if possible remove the running text also on the top right under Adidas. Option to control font size or keep it small” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

swtboi96: “As of late I get message that app is not responding properly. Overall I am pleased with the app, but it's frustrating when i get that error message. And sometimes when it finally "works" it does not keep track of calories burned. Seriously, a 3+ mile run/walk and no calories burned? 05/11/24 - The last few months it hasn't tracked progress on challenges. Asks if I want to join even though I've already joined at the beginning of the month. Very” – 2/5 in Play Store

Watson Dorgilles: “I really like thus app. It tells the distance, time, and average pace. You don't have to pull your phone to look at them every once in a while with countdown feature. But I don't like the identification put on the map after each mile. I want the tracked route to be clearly visible.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Bob Stepno: “Seems to be much improved over a year or two ago, or maybe I just needed the upgrade to a more powerful phone.. now a Galaxy S23... With my earlier phone, using the camera, especially video, and the MP3 player at the same time as tracking a walk gave very mixed results. A lot of bizarre maps that showed me making a beeline from the halfway point to the end when I was really walking a curving trail. Haven't seen that affect in a year.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Curt Burns: “Simple, straight forward but flexible. I appreciate the accuracy of the GPC tracking. Gives me the info I want without clutter. Still using this app and loving it! Works for my cycling as well as runs! This app has far more features than I utilize, but could be helpful for far more serious athletes concerned with multiple fitness markers.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Pros Easy-to-follow training plan, GPS tracking, and detailed progress reports.
Cons May not be challenging enough for experienced runners, and the free version includes ads.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “Nice and simple with no bells and whistles that get in the way of the features you need, but it hardly ever tracks my workout correctly. I'm about 3 weeks in and it almost consistently tells me I've traveled about 1 mile less, and burned about 150 calories less, than my Fitbit reports. My BF and son have come on routes with their own smart watches (one Fitbit, one not), and mine is the only one reporting this. So it's not like it's the Fitbit overreporting. I do also turn on high-accuracy GPS.” – 3/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “I'm a bicyclist who had to switch to running due to a broken shoulder. Running always hurt my back in the past, but I am finishing level 2 and still doing great. I restarted level 2 due to an illness and I've really liked the way it's organized to help you deal with needing to back up. I use the repeat workout feature a few times when it felt too hard to continue to advance. I also like listening to music while running and the audio prompts overtake the music well. Great paid app!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Pros Easy to use, comprehensive features, detailed analytics, personalized training plans.
Cons Can be expensive, some features may be too complex for beginners, limited integration with other fitness apps.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “This is one of the coolest most robust apps. The best part of training peaks in general is how it helps you almost precisely or within a very close range plan to achieve peak Fitness for specific events. And it does sound either a very granular way if you want to get super into the details, or it can be relatively general and still give you wonderful results. I'm really glad I'm using this!!” – 5/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “I've been using the premium version for a month now, after starting to work with a coach. User interface is intuitive, loads of data (way more than I can digest), and easy to integrate with other apps/watch/etc. The only issue I've experienced is populating data from other apps recorded before I downloaded TP. Not the biggest deal, but that data would make the TP fitness algorithms produce more accurate numbers based on my long-term history.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Features A simple way to get into running. The app provides a 9-week walk-run workout plan that will help you go from couch potato to 5K runner.
Pros Easy to use. Tracks your progress. Helps you stay motivated.
Cons Can be repetitive. May not be challenging enough for experienced runners.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “The GPS is off, often giving me less than half the distance. It really is only guaranteed to work if you run one way in a straight line. When the GPS works, the distance split is often wrong. You get correct paces and total distance but the distance for running/walking is wrong. Which means they messed up the math. They added a bunch of useless junk you can't avoid and the app feels less worth it as a result of the updates. I'll finish the app then move to a general app for running.” – 2/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “Simple to use. I can play muaic through my earbuds and when its time to run/walk the music will momentarily get quiet so you can hear the instruction and then it returns to normal volume. Very intuitive and user friendly. But if you are truly "couch" this will be a challenging program. Dont be afraid to repeat workouts if yoy cant complete them.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Pros Easy to use, great for beginners, motivating.
Cons Lacks some advanced features, can be buggy at times.

Comments and Reviews from users:

Ken Eisinger: “I'm a beginner, just starting week four of the 5K trainer. I like the intervals of walking and running. Rather than sprint down the street as a clueless rookie, the intervals encourage me to carefully build up stamina over time. I'm less likely to be exhasted, or injured, and thus more likely to stick with the training. I like the voice prompts, which are easily audible while listening to my music. And I like that a 10K trainer awaits, once I get stronger. Excellent program. Five stars!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Susan Burke: “This is a really great app. The fact that it is completely usable while free is commendable. I went ahead and paid the $3 because apps like this should be supported. I love that it works well with my podcast app and the voice interrupts it to tell me when to run/walk. I also think the half way feature is incredibly helpful as well.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Pros Great for runners of all levels, offers personalized training plans, provides GPS tracking and progress monitoring.
Cons Can't be used for other sports, may not be suitable for very experienced runners.

Comments and Reviews from users:

Audrey C. Wallace: “Support is responsive but this app is not worth what they're charging. You can't manually enter in treadmill runs, or runs you don't want to take your phone on. If you have an Android, you can't connect to a Bluetooth treadmill as advertised. They've somehow decided to add a strength training diary feature before you can even manually log a run, for an app called Runna. It's also touchy- if my screen isn't unlocked and open to the app for it to start recording a run, the run won't record.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Greg Hayward: “Hugely enjoyed using this app to train for my first marathon. Love how it guides you through your runs and great to mix things up with interval training when you're running 3 times a week! The GPS sometimes isn't accurate if you're quickly changing pace but it's a small gripe and my run times always seemed to come out about right in the end. Will definitely use again.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Also, the app should remember the time you input last time you used the app. Currently I can get more functionality on a website then with this app.” – 2/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “Very Nice app, really nice!!! But i would definitely love to put the weight and hight there, that the caclulator would give me more precision on Vdoto2 and training paces. Also consider adding and resting heart rate. All these are crucial for giving as precise as possible Vdoto2 pace. Can you tell me please why you don't have considered putting those metrics in the app? Also would like to have a range for the pace, it's not possible from gps watches to have a stable pace, for instance as you have done for the easy run (that has a range) i'd like to have a range and for the other paces. Thank you, I like a lot the app great job” – 5/5 in Play Store

Pros Easy to use, personalized training plans, adaptive scheduling.
Cons May not be suitable for all fitness levels, requires a subscription, limited customization options.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “Unfortunately, it's kind of not very intuitive to figure out, and I don't find the plan the app generates to make a lot of sense. I have used Hal Higdon's premade plans successfully many times so I was excited to try this app. I think it needs to be more adaptive, but also the way it calculates your target paces makes no sense to me, based on what I've done for training in the past - using Hal's plans. I also hope they make it connect to Garmin in the future. They said they're working on it.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Seth Kasselman: “I like the app for the coaching tips, plans, encouraging phrases, etc. I don't like things like you have to press start workout twice to actually start the workout, i did one without recording it cause of this. I don't like how it doesn't take your experience or ability into factor for what your workout is, I feel like I can do more than it has me doing right now. I also would like the ability to do my week availability with two separate weeks because my schedule is changing constantly” – 4/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

J Wed: “This is just the beta version so I am trying to keep that in mind. I love the features it promises but when I ran with it for the first time the pace/speed it detected was very, very far off the mark (I was running a known distance). It was discouraging because I was supposed to run at a higher speed than before, but the app reported a slower speed than ever. I turned on my other running app and it confirmed my suspicions. I'll come back and try again once the accuracy improves :(” – 3/5 in Play Store

Mark Songi: “Trainasone works differently (better) than other running apps I have used. I am glad I gave it a try and have now upgraded to the paid version. It integrates very well with my Garmin watch (Forerunner 235) loading runs for the next few days onto my watch seamlessly and then downloading the results for analysis at the end of each run. I'm a senior category runner 60+. I have been using this app for nearly 2 years now. I particularly like the flexibility of the AI compared to other running programs I have tried, if I miss a run (or try to hard) it adjusts the running schedule automatically. This has make it much easier to stick with the program. It feels a little light in the runs, but as a result I have been injury free over the last 2 years and running consistently so I guess it is getting it right. Normally I would expect an injury every 6-12 months because I pushed myself too hard! The app uses a traffic light system (red/amber/green) to grade completed runs. This shows how well I have followed the planned run which I have found surprisingly effective to prevent me working too hard or too soft in the run. It has been really useful keeping me going with Park Run off the table at the moment. The Trainasone team have been responsive to user feedback in developing their app.” – 5/5 in Play Store
