A Google user: “I always check trip advisor when traveling to find a place to stay or eat, and find the reviews very helpful. One suggestion that would be very helpful for those of us traveling with pets (would probably help with small children too): indicate if the place has a private entrance. I always have to scroll through all the pictures and hope I can find one that shows them. Updates have made it difficult navigate:. loved ability to search my reviews but no longer able to sort by location.” – 5/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “I like the app itself, but I don't want DAILY emails spamming up my inbox! I've repeatedly tried to "unsubscribe" in my account settings but it won't allow me to save the settings so I'm still getting the daily emails. It's sad when they think have to shove something down your throat every single day! I will be deleting my account altogether & blocking the email address! EDIT:May 16, 2019 WOW! I'm impressed! TripAdvisor has changed so much for the better since the last time I used it! Thanks!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cons Limited features in the free version; Can be slow to sync; May not always accurately detect all travel plans.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “I love this app, but one thing I wish it would do is 'grab' screenshots of bording passes. Some airline apps / websites show you this image, but you have to be logged in to see it. Invariably, when you need it most, your log in had timed out and you have to scurry to log back in. The app doesn't need a log in, so if the image was saved there it'd be much faster to recall. I don't want to use a dozen apps when I am rushing through an airport. If I could keep it all in one that'd be awesome. Also, the "miles traveled" function in the Travel Stats part of the user profile doesn't seem to work, it says I've traveled zero miles...but it also lists 6 trips and 10 cities visited. The miles traveled part would be kind of fun to track, so it's a bummer that it doesn't seem to work.” – 5/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “Does a good job picking up my initial reservations and maintaining the details. However, it does not automatically log cancellations and changes. Have to go into the app and change info myself. Recently, I lost the feed to my Google calendar. I deleted it and re-set it up. But now, all my trips show in GMT instead of my local time. Lowered my rating because if this. The sync with calendar is now useless, and I've spent far too much time trying to correct it.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Pros Comprehensive trip planning tools, offline maps and guides, personalized recommendations.
Cons Limited free content, some features require a subscription, occasional bugs and glitches.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “Not very useful for me... Missing many local POI in US States if not searching for big cities. When opening from Sygic Maps it apparently doesn't default to search selected location. Can't browse activities without first making a trip. All in all a very disappointing app. I'm still using the free apps that are available instead of this. Hopefully it improves.” – 2/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “What a horrible waste of 20$! There is not much more you can do in the app than you can in Google maps for free! Meeting at a hotel? App makes you stay there. Going on a tour? No way to integrate without literally entering everything manually. Taking the train? No integration there either. Just shows where the bus and train stops are. Do yourself a favor and just download the offline version of the place in Google maps for free until they polish this app up SIGNIFICANTLY. Sigh.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Pros User-friendly, reliable information, personalized recommendations
Cons May require an internet connection, some features may require a subscription

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “So it's okay. It helps that it shows you where you are going in a nap view and you can search for things to add to the itinerary. You can reorder things relatively easy. I like that I can see about how long it takes to go to each place. However, when you add to the itinerary there is no way to change where they put it until it's added so you keep having to rearrange stuff and when you share it, it only shows 1 day at a time. It's also irritating that you can only out in the amount of time at a place but not the time you'll be there. It just auto times it based off of when you start. Overall, is okay for now but I'm trying to find something better.” – 3/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “I've really enjoyed using this! It's great for planning tours and excursions when the choices become overwhelming. I've used it for San Diego and San Francisco, and now using it for our upcoming Hawaii trip. Some functionality could be improved on, like setting times for activities, because I use it as a guide and not as a strict itinerary. Overall, great site and app.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Pros Easy to use, comprehensive, and helps you find unique and interesting places.
Cons Can be overwhelming with the amount of information it provides, and some features require a paid subscription.

Comments and Reviews from users:

peter veasey: “While it provides a lot of information, it's routing is flawed. If planning a summer trip during winter months. Winter closers will led to poor decision making because winter closers are used during summer planning. Also needs a daily distance calculation on the map to figure how far you can go on a day run. Have to use Google maps to check runs and figure distances. Won't renew because it can't be trusted.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Sandy Gruber: “The app was great for finding fun things off the beaten track, and things that are free, yay. The 2 things I dislike are that the blue route line covers up the highway numbers. That is very poor map style. The other is that navigation doesn't have the option to always have North at the top. Without that option, I can't easily tell which direction I'm heading. Yuk.” – 4/5 in Play Store

colette blair: “Great app for trip planning! I like to research restaurants, attractions, nightlife, points of interest and compile them into one list. Wanderlog great for this because you can code each entry and see them as a map view. I love this feature because I can plan all of my dining, transportation and activities in a bird's-eye view of the city. I also noticed but did not use that they have a helpful feature for cost splitting.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Belinda and Kathy Kohles: “I have used several trip planning apps. This one by far is the best. The interaction between goggle maps makes the planning so much easier. Adding an adventure not in the app is also easy. Love the connection to Trip Advisor also. Everything is connected including booking a stay. Easy to use on phone, tablets and computer! Well thought through development.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Thomas Williamson: “It's a quick and easy reference that comes in handy for all kinds of situations. During four weeks of traveling in India, I used it pretty much every day. It's super useful to have the "big picture" so handy when making a lot of smaller decisions.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Kimberly R Barker: “If you already know where you want to stop, this app seems to be a good way to plan out your trip. It's not great for finding places to stop along a road trip, though (which is what I was looking for), even with the paid version. The "attractions" that it lists are mostly retail stores and a few state parks; it doesn't have a lot of museums, sights, etc. I also didn't see an option to search for hotels (though I didn't look very hard).” – 3/5 in Play Store

Vaughn Curtis: “My wife & I went around the country on motorcycle (4 corner ride). Imagine trying to do this without some sort of device or app to assist in our travels. This app helped tremendously! We were able to prepare in advance our stops while staying on track with our whole trip plans. It was worth the cost as all other apps would only let us track 10 stops at which point we would have to cancel a stop to add another. Imagine having 45 stops. Thank you for creating the app.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

AkAsH aPpU Eb: “This app is great for those who are terrible at planning trips and international travelers. But the limitations of the app is that it will plan only for a 14 day trip at a time. Then in the case of india only mumbai is added as a city i hope they will add cities in the future.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Rachel: “Cool concept, but repeats things a lot if your trip is longer than 2-3 days.. Not much room for modifying restaurant choices or places. You can try removing something, but it might just add it on a different day. At the moment this app is pretty limited with it's suggestions.” – 3/5 in Play Store
