Hephzibah: “I love this app! Purchasing premium is a purchase I don't regret! Some of my favorite features on this app is the option two group my journal entries with the hashtag feature. I also really like being able to put different kinds of media on the journal entry, for example, videos, pictures, and voice recordings. I personally use this app as a prayer journal. I love using this to remember God's faithfulness and seeing how Jesus has answered my prayers in the past!!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Akila: “I really like this app!!! I haven't used any other diary app, but I know this one has the most downloads and it's very highly rated!!! They have a bunch of different styles and themes to choose from and if the ads get annoying, which they do, they give you the option to even get the permanent subscription for half off during holidays!! Comments and Reviews from users:

Des Key: “The app is easy to use. You're not swamped by ads in the free option, there's an ad when you open and then an ad when you're done with an entry and an ad on the page of entries. The free backgrounds are cute and if you want the paid for backgrounds you can watch an ad to unlock it to use. I wish there were more font options but the options available aren't bad. I would like if you could change font size for a specific line instead of all the text but it's not a big deal. Very cute, not buggy.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cora Kelly: “I try to journal every say but fail after like three days, not even kidding. With this app you can set daily reminders, plus it doesn't hurt my hand or take much effort to write since that's what normally discouraged me in the past. You can add photos which us very helpful, look back at past entries, and so much more. You can add a lock to the app so that you can't do anything without entering the lock. It's much more secure than my notebooks I use now and is extremely confidential. I love it.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Alan Neyer: “Edit: I have had this app for over a year and it's worth it. It helps me keep track of my mood changes and also with memory recollection, I use it to pause throughout my day and take an inventory of what I've done, what I've accomplished, how I'm feeling and what I still need to do. It's worth having. It gets a bit buggy between updates but that happens. I'm happy overall and it's worth the subscription to personalize, add as many activities and goals and moods to keep track of things.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Laura House: “I've been using Daylio for a bit now and I'm really happy with how super customizable it is and the data it provides in the reports. Once you've used it for a while it starts finding patterns. You can add a note or a pics if you want. Comments and Reviews from users:

Daniel Cordoviz: “I really like how simple the app is and the interface is great! I like that you can combine different medias in your entry and can write in between each item like a blog style! I used to use Journey, but I can only use 1 type of media per entry. I would recommend this app if you want a simple interface and entries that can combine different medias in a style of a blog. Edit: There are some typos when entering a passcode. It says, "enter a exiting password of 4 digits", but it doesn't bother me.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Abby Evans: “I am really enjoying this app. Thus far I haven't had any issues with saving items, opening or recalling information. I have the paid version to eliminate ads (seemed like not a great idea for organic thought flow to have constant interruptions) but so far, it's a good fit for me. I can't compare it to others like it...but it's been a good type-it-out journal for me.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Asma: “Truly THE BEST weekly planner hands down!! 2 style options, many backgrounds to pick from. Can change font size, color, show hr... The best part is the ability to go from week to single day easily. Great for extended planning and to do lists that you can highlight or strike through. The designer is very responsive to feedback and comments. One time fee to upgrade for life, unlike others that charge monthly. I can't say enough great stuff about this app. Get it. You won't be sorry.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Tara Robinette: “I really like how it resembles a paper diary. It was just what I was looking for, a place to jot lists and keep a short daily record of my day. I tried the free version for a few days and then paid for the upgrade, but I don't feel it was worth it. Improvements I'd like to see are more highlight color options, and a side panel for keeping lists. Otherwise, pretty happy with this digital planner.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Cons Limited customization options, no option to export your entries, and the free version only allows for a limited number of entries.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “It's just as easy as using a social media app, and probably a better place to post things since it is a journal. Didn't give it the 5th star because it would be nice to load multiple pictures at once as well as more than just 4. Also, it will stop working at random times, especially if I've been inputting pictures in many consecutive entries. Update--(Increased rating from 4 to 5 stars) Thanks for adding the ability to attach multiple pictures at one time and increasing the number of pictures.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Prince Williams: “Love this Journaling app. I like that it can be locked and use biometrics, that it syncs and has web access and the templates are great too. I'd ideally like to journal by hand but the convenience of always having it with me, privacy/security, templates and the ability to add pics and other metadata make this a winner. I journal much more with this app than by other means. I've also been able to find a middle ground using attached pics to securely save the times when I do write by hand.” – 5/5 in Play Store

This app really is all about gratitude. Its also convenient to be in my own bed and doing the 'work'. I appreciate the prompts. It automatically slows me down, makes me think and allows me to be introspective. Its a simple app, but its beneficial to the mind and how we think about things.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Nicole Kennedy: “I love it & think it's worth every penny. under $5 a month is definitely something I prioritize for this because it has helped me make a habit of setting aside a few minutes a day to myself & mental well being. I love the prompts & that you can skip them if need be. I love that I can add photos to the journal. the affirmations page is incredible, you can use the ones provided which there are hundreds or you can create your own! saying affirmations outloud is a game changer. ur worth it! do it!” – 5/5 in Play Store

The settings allows you to change your criteria to the options that you want to track (i.e. weather, mood, menstrual cycle, schoolwork, and many other goals.) I like the simplicity of this app, and the cute personalization of the "mood beans". Would highly recommend for people who want an in-depth log for their life.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Sara Weise: “Very cute! Your entries can be as quick or involved as you want which I love. The only way it could be better is if in the freeform journal area there could be some creative writing prompts to writing about something outside the norm. I've seen it in other apps and I liked how it sparked creative writing. Otherwise this app is adorable and suits my needs perfectly.” – 5/5 in Play Store

This is basic word--as far as i can tell, no photo upload--but that's alright since my phone records place and date for all my pictures. There are three color choices and three font styles. Perfect for a writer like me. I tried several and deleted them before I found this one. Just what I was looking for.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Keiko Klisiewecz: “While it may seem like a simple concept I've honsetly thrived on the ability to be "free ranged" more so with my journaling. The prompts can be helpful at times when I am struggling to sum up my day or process my thoughts- but other then that I don't use them often. I also love the set-up and customibility that the app gives you- even without me having preium. It is also compatable on all my devices including my phone(a moto) and my computer(a chrome).” – 5/5 in Play Store

Ash Skidmore: “Big help with cute widgets to remind me to check in with how I'm feeling. There's alot of different things to choose from to personalize your experience even without premium and if you were to get premium, it has very reasonable prices. I don't have the premium version and I can still enjoy the sounds there to help sooth you and the pre-made checklist with goals like "cleaning room", "morning routine" etc! Great app.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Supernova Proxima: “Does exactly what it's supposed to and more. A very useful tool for me and my mood swings. I got the premium just to support the developers. Edit: Now that I've used the app more, I'd really love for there to be more moods to choose from. For example: Numb, Tired, Anxious, Flustered, etc. It would be really nice to customize the moods you use most often.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Anmp08: “Gives you a calendar that you can customize (if you pay) and you can create tasks and mark birthdays. It's not very good on telling how to move to next month(you have to swipe?) You can draw and make notepads to track moods and habits. You have to pay to get the stickers you want. My only big thing that peeves me is that you can't reorder the notepads. You can reorder the pages but not the pad. Also it does not give am or pm when you want to set a time.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Kaely: “Super cute and definitely what I was looking for in a bullet journal app! I really like how for the memos it's up to us on how we want to plan things out like you would on paper, so far I've made a habit tracker and money expense sheet. I would like to be able to have repeat functions on the calender though so I don't have to continuously add the same thing over and over again.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Musyoka Mutua: “I have been using this app for over 10 years now. For some reason, after an update yesterday... it crashing for the first time ever... on me. I have a plus account. How can I go back to the older update before this. The app itself is saying it's buggy. I'm at risk of losing 10 years of journaling. I started using the app in 2014... then if was being developed by Bloom Built Inc... It's now Automatic.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Jennifer Mast: “Less than a week in, and I'm already so in love with it. 40 years of traditional diaries under my belt & an additional private e-mail online to store letters and stories were my previous journaling methods. The abilities of this app -- to store photos, videos, texts, posted thoughts and letters all in one place with options to share, print or have multiple journals at once -- is a game changer. If I ever write a book, this app will have played a major role in that objective.” – 5/5 in Play Store
