Christopher Spurrier: “This app is great overall, though I would love for you to add a search option within our personal workout routines, such as the one in the cardiovascular section. I have a long list of routines based on various muscle groups & session types. It is extremely tedious scrolling through all of them to find a routine I haven't recently performed. AIso an option to make subcategories/folders within that list would be excellent. Thank you!” – 4/5 in Play Store

Heidi Zahn: “I've used MFP off and on for 6 years now and have had great success tracking. However, I'm bummed to see the barcode scanner is now a premium feature (previously free). This allowed me to track quicker and more accurately, without manually adding or relying on the (not always accurate) database. Would love to see this become a free feature again!” – 4/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Justin E Schneider: “Ive been using the app for a little bit now and its been a great experience. I have run into a few issues here and there but have either found work arounds or changed what I was trying to do. The app has a free barcode scanner which is ver helpful. One thing that I found that confuses me is when creating a recipe, the app only saves 8 steps in the directions and wont save anything after. Not sure if that is by design bit it makes it harder to write down recipes when things take more than 8 steps” – 4/5 in Play Store

Steve Holanov: “It's very easy to log my food and the nutrition reports are very good. It has a major bug in that it opens the wrong date when you enter your food. However I've found the calories limits that support weight loss. Two improvements I'd like are 1. easier way to locate custom entered foods using the search and 2. display calcium in the nutrient list.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Zeke Ohlandt: “Let's get into the bad before the good. This apps calorie tracker and nutrition count, even on SCANNED ITEMS is incorrect and you manually have to input every thing if you want an accurate reading of your calorie count. It's a great app with lots of potential, the motivation and recipes is very good but the beginning is unforgivable. Lose it is a lot better of an app then this is and has the same features” – 3/5 in Play Store

Adam Van Meter: “If I had realized how central fasting was to this app I wouldn't have bothered subscribing, it seems like a pathway directly to disordered eating. I should have done my due diligence while researching counting and activity calendar apps. The vaunted barcode scanner is missing tons of things. Be prepared to spend a lot of time paying to do data entry for yazio, at least as far as the first times you eat certain things. Theres no simple way to add home cooked foods. Or I haven't found it anyway” – 2/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “I am not sure if this is a bug, but why in the hell does this enable the alarm icon on my phone, on the top right status bar? Sure, you can send alerts and notifications for all things you do with the app, but altering the phone's functionality with alarm icon is seriously not recommended! All that does is confuse the user as to why the alarm icon appears when they have not set any alarm in any of the apps they use!!” – 3/5 in Play Store

Ranjani C: “I always wonder why I keep giving up on using this app. It's so great in tracking calories and workout, but every month or so I use it and then just stop...for years. I came back again and it became very clear to me why. I'm not lazy to track my diet, I just hate pushing through 101 ads, banners, notifications, ads, bots, reminders, all which have nothing to with my objective and gets in the way of me trying to do the most simple task. I don't know if I can do this anymore, I'm so tired 😔 3/5” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Chantal Hall: “I initially downloaded the app because I wanted something to track how much water I was drinking daily. I love the diet and menu options, and when I use them, I am successful at losing or maintaining weight instead of gaining. Converting the diet menus to a shopping list could be a smoother transition, but overall, I love using this app.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Dee S: “Overall, I love this app. It's way better than my fitnesspal and as silly as it sounds, having to track your water, veggie, and fruit intake in a fun and easy way encourages you to want to consume more of those things (which is always good)! However, recently it's been super buggy and just not updating for hours at a time. If I try to search something it just spins for all eternity. Im spending money on this app and I shouldn't have an entire day of downtime where I basically can't use it.” – 3/5 in Play Store

kylie kotlarczyk: “I haven't had any problems with the app. And the lessons are great. I really wish I could substitute things in recipes. Teach you how to substitute veggies and whole grains but I can't change a recipe to substitute something. I also cook for myself which means it takes me 3 to 4 minutes to actually input everything and to measure everything out. That side of it is really sucks and is the entire reason for the deduction of stars. Also have lost 10 lb and then stopped losing. It's been 5 months.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Adam DeBoer: “I opted out of a couple courses that I didn't want. They were 'included for free' during my trial period. I got an email that my trial was almost up in case I wanted to cancel before being charged the full amount of what I had selected. I chose to keep going and let the payment happen. The email didn't mention the added courses and even stated the amount that I would be charged. I was charged twice. Once for the amount I expected, and then for renewing the courses I didn't want. Not cool.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

D S: “I am not a fan of calorie counting but this app does so much more and really makes it easy to see how and where your calorie choices make or break your weight goals. I especially like the chart displaying carb, protein, fat percentages of my daily calories and the motivational display of my weight loss progress. Weight loss support abounds in this app which takes the best of other programs and makes them easier to follow.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Mary Kaye Hession: “Easy to use, tracks your progress to keep you motivated. Lose It has a huge library of brand-name foods for accurate counting of calories and nutrition. Or you can add your own recipes for home-cooked food, which can be very revealing. Update: For the past few days, exercise tracking has become unusable on my Android phone. Nearly 6 miles walking at 3 mph? 20 calories. An hour of light spin biking? 26 calories. Calories in vs. calories out is essential to weight loss/maintenance; need both.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Nichole Craig: “This app looks as though it could be good, with a relatively good design. However, too much of the contents of this app are locked behind a paywall. You can't even log how much water you've drank. Strange decision... App continues to close and needs restarting every single time you try to log your weight, meaning yet another feature is suddenly unavailable to you.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Kiki: “This app has kept me on track for success. It has quirky little phrases to assist you with tracking your water intake. My favorite is, "You're not a cactus. Drink some water." 😆 I also love how the app has animation explanations so you can see at what hour what is going on with your body. The app also has nice recipes to assist with meal prep and ideas on what veggies and fruit to eat. All and all, I am enjoying the app. It's full of entertaining information, and I'm learning a lot from it.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Dawn Pingyar: “After three weeks of tracking my eating and steps the app no longer opens. Says there's no internet connection on my phone but everything else works except this app. If un-installed and reinstalled I will lose all my information. I didn't pay for premium so I am assuming it locks you out after so long. This happened once before and I thought it was a mistake. I guess not.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Amber Mitchell: “For some reason the "Create Custom Food" function stopped working, and so did the "Create Recipe" function. I've tried clicking on the option to create a custom food in multiple locations within the app since there are a couple ways you should be able to access/be redirected to that feature, but none of them work. I have a Premium account. The app is the latest version. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Wooper: “It's only been a couple of days and I'm already motivated to keep using this app. It is incredibly thorough and anyone who loves numbers and data will for sure enjoy using this app to track foods eaten as well as other data from connected services such as Garmin. The Free version is still packed with features but I decided to sub only because there was an auto pilot feature that is sure to come in handy as I progress in my weightloss and I want it automated.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Harout Tutundjian: “I like this app but with every new feature that is introduced, the app becomes more glitchy. The app will randomly start toggling the "complete day food log" button on and off by itself. When loading into my chart for daily water intake, the app will get wonky and start shuffling through random data from other days where I've logged water intake. I have to exit and load back into it a time or two until it properly displays today's water intake. The fasting feature while nice, isn't intuitive.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Once you sign up you start getting pop ups telling you your "free" trial is about to end. I considered buying it for the ridiculous price of $39 a year, because after all they are trying to make a buck but my only option to pay was through Google pay. I refuse to pay with Google pay. For that they lost another point.” – 2/5 in Play Store

william osceola: “amazing app! I love how easy it is to find every food and ingredient with the scanner. It's especially useful how I simply scan an item and add it to my meal and it tracks all the calories, protein, saturated fat...etc. and then compiles everything in a bar chart. it even makes it fun to track the daily fruits and veggies intake and water intake by partially filling up an icon until you meet the recommended daily amount. I would definitely recommend!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Marie P: “Chronometer has all the functionality I need for tracking personal nutrition, macros and micronutrients, including fiber, sugar/added sugar, supplements, etc. I find it easier to use, more comprehensive, and more versatile than other nutrition tracking apps I've tried. Currently enjoying the free version and planning to upgrade for the extra features.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Neil Carlson: “I tried a couple different food tracking apps and like Cronometer the best. The interface is clean and easy to use, and I love being able to import recipes and create custom meals. Recipe importing from the Internet isn't perfect - requires adjusting some ingredients and quantities - but I found it to work a lot better than other apps. Integration with Garmin Connect is nice, too.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

M J: “More frustrating than helpful. I was keeping a written food diary and thought it would be fun to use an app instead - but the time involved, the lack of food choices they offer (as well as portion sizes) and no way to customize your entries made me give up after 4 days. Much easier to just look up my calories online!! Fast food junkies may find it useful, tho 🙄” – 2/5 in Play Store

Stephen Murphy: “Installed to aid with macro tracking during my cut. The database and barcode scanner are pretty convenient, but while the assigned plans get relatively close to what I want in terms of caloric intake and macros, I don't seem to be able to adjust my daily numbers individually (unless I missed something) which is a deal breaker for me as I know my basic metabolic rate better than the app does. For someone who isn't as sure I can see this app being very useful.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Amanda Gosnell: “I've been a big fan of this app until this last update on 3/19/24. It's made it impossible for me to accurately track my calories due to app not changing calorie counts for varying portion sizes. Also it's now a 2 step process instead of one step to track a zero bite food if it's not already marked as zero bites. It used to be an easy quick tracking option but seems to be getting more complicated. I would recommend the app if they work out the links but would not recommend as is currently.” – 4/5 in Play Store

James Clegg: “App devs constantly making change that send app to bugsville! Wouldn't be as bad if they fixed the bugs quick, but many bugs that make a feature unuseable go on for months. I've contacted support & they want to help, but have you trying this & that with no resolution. (example: broken recipe builder. Still broken after a year) I just gave up on that. The design change noted above was unnecessary & broke the main food calculation (Bites) so it doesn't count calories right. Smh” – 2/5 in Play Store

Farzin: “It is a great and user friendly app to track your meals and kcal, and has lots of recipes for healthy foods. However, there are a few things that must be fixed: 1. You can't delete foods that you have already added, makes the process of finding them very time consuming as the list just gets bigger and bigger. 2. The app is slow and sometimes laggy when switching between different menus. 3. I wish users were able to copy/paste entered data from previous days to save some time.” – 4/5 in Play Store

David Stam: “I wanted to find something wrong with this app. But it has exceeded all my expectations. Has everything you could possible need to track your nutrition. In the first few days I easily figured out WHY my weight loss had stagnated and how to fix it to attain my goals. You can easily delete foods from your lists. Make custom nutrition plans. Easy interface and graphics. My only issue is the meal reminder won't stay off. Not a big deal. Just another phone noise that I can do without.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

That One Person: “Loved this app and all the data it provided. It was simple to use and did it's job. Tracking was extremely easy. I'm on the latest update and, unfortunately, all my data is gone. I'm unable to review my graphs and data inputted on previous days. These are all free and do not require a subscription but yet I'm unable to view it. I can still track stuff but I just can't compare it to my previous days. Guess I'm going to look for another app that's similar.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Joshua Blakeney: “Misleading. It functions as a calorie tracking app like its supposed to with some premium features like macro nutrients and water consumption but one of the selling points is being able to take a picture of food and it will figure out the calories. This feature is so laughably bad. I took a picture of fried rice and it suggested it was cauliflower. I took a picture of a jar of Jiffy Peanut butter with the name of the product clearly in the photo and it suggested it was pumpkin butter.” – 2/5 in Play Store
