Comments and Reviews from users:

Giobemo: “Ok, the labels feature can work as folders in a way. I'm wondering if you guys could add an option to collapse notes to only show titles and maybe the first few lines of the note. Those tabs can fill up pretty quickly and trying to find the one you want on a tiny work-issued phone can be tough if they're all expanded to full size. Also would be nice to have different text color options within notes. So far, so good though!” – 4/5 in Play Store

Justin McGrath: “It's half baked. The search feature is useless. Lists are shown as thumbnails, instead of showing the titles in a list, forcing you to scroll by a bunch of stuff to get to the list you want. You can't make home screen shortcuts to specific lists. Instead, you can only create widgets that take up a bunch of space. When you select a list by long pressing, you must reach to the top of your phone to press the "X" to deselect it. If you use the back button as one would usually do, it exits the app.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Jessica Katz: “I was finally getting used to v.10. It doesn't sync reliably but still basically works. And then the new version appeared with a new UI. The home page no longer has widgets and thus serves no purpose. It's just more clicks between me and my notes. Worst of all though is the new permanent Browse menu at the top of the note list. Now I can see 3 notes without scrolling when I used to be able to see 10, and there's a huge, intrusive, unnecessary, uncollapsible menu at the top of my notes. WHY?????” – 2/5 in Play Store

JenniferMReads: “Evernote used to be a five-star app. I used to love this app for organizing thoughts and to-do lists and the sync to desktop. Over last year or year and a half, popups and ads encouraging an upgrade to paid version have steadily increased. Today, I had three popups before I was able to open & edit a note. With the annoying popups and the weird wider line spacing inside notes, I'm done. Uninstalling and trying something new--or Samsung's basic note feature installed on phones.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Pastor Monica R. Hooks: “ColorNote is the best I've experienced thus far, with this kind of app. It's great at being quickly accessed to take notes, while on the phone, in a meeting, or out & about. It's also great at keeping a record of my notes in an easy & very organized way so I can retrieve them just as quickly. I've experienced quality service, no glitches & no ads. Hallelujah! ☺️” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cali Girl in WV: “This is a simple app for making notes, lists, and writing down things you want to remember, and it works perfectly. I like the color coding option. I use it for differentiating, recipes, lists, lyrics, poetry, etc), which makes those items easier to search/find. I also like the lock feature, which not only ensures that I do not accidentally erase something but it also keeps it private unless someone knows the password.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cons Free plan limitations, some advanced features require premium subscription, occasional bugs and glitches.

Comments and Reviews from users:

Brett M: “Even as a free user this is still a pretty powerful tool. It has almost everything I need in a to do list. My only complaint is default predictive features designed to help, but instead complicating simple tasks, i.e. a task with a holiday in the title sets a due date of the holiday. Thankfully a nice developer quickly responded to a previous review with a work around, but it would be nice if this were a bit more intuitive. Edited to change rating and add thanks to the developer.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Matthew Goldstein: “Mostly works well, as the daily checklist app I needed. Has one extremely annoying lack of a feature: You can't change the reset time for daily tasks. Not everyone works on a schedule where a 12 am reset works. It's utterly ridiculous to not have this as a feature. App would be perfect for me if this was fixed.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Cons Limited customization options, can be buggy at times, not as robust as some other task management apps.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “Sadly this is the best to do list I have seen. Very glitchy. Tasks done weeks ago magically show up and you have to delete them again. A grocery list I didn't even want replicated itself 12 times. My personal list replicated itself 13 times and when I deleted the second to last iteration of this it deleted everything I had ever typed into my lists. Calendar support only available on ipad and android phone, not in browser window. You have to trick the system into puting a date on items by setting a reminder and then going back in to deactivate the reminder. I like that you can move items around however you want and that items left undone today stay in the today category instead of just floating out of the system. It is odd that something as unfinished as this emerges as king of the hill in this category. I would have thought that the global creativity and intelligence of humanity would have far surpassed this but apparently not.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Raj Kondala: “I don't like the fact that drag and drop of tasks is not good. It works only in a specific manner. That is It does not indicate when you can drop the task after dragging. There is no visual clue. Wow! On snooze the task gets rearranged in calendar view. The only feature I never seen in any other apps. Never miss a call back that was important. The best part I like the most is the in app notification from where you can select task and postpone as usual.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “25 Oct 2018: I don't know what happened to this app. Used to work well. Now, my tasks often don't show up anymore. Especially the repeating ones. They just disappeared. The syncing with Google Tasks stopped working reliably maybe a month or more ago. Tried emailing support. No response received :-( Earlier Review: Works well. I would like it better if it didn't change the times I've set for tasks when I change time zones which happens frequently since I travel a lot. Nonetheless, I purchased the full version with no ads because it's a good app and the developers deserve some cash.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Carolyn Heuser: “This app is perfect for my needs. The design is clean, attractive, easy to read, and very intuitive. It lets me add any lists I need to track (groceries, prayers, birthdays, to-do, etc). And I can delete any lists that I no longer want. It's very easy to add tasks to my lists, set due dates, and set up recurrences. It displays each list separately or all of them together by date due. It's really very nicely done. The adds may drive you crazy so you might as well pay $4 to get rid of them.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Riley Fade: “I like it, a little clunky. Reminder times should be fully customizable down to the exact minute. Reminder does me no good if I can only get it within 30 minutes of the desired time I actually need the reminder. ie, you can set something 1-99 minutes before the due date of the task OR 1-99 hours/days/weeks, but you can't set a reminder for 4.5 hours before a due date because the slider only goes to 99 and only uses one unit of measurement. Just let me type in a custom time. Needs refinement.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Cornell Frazier: “Just got the app, and I already appreciate its value there have been many times before I wrote out a to do list on a piece of paper , and often I would do two mabe three items on the list then start procrastinating, and loose interest, and motivation. This app does the opposite it motivated me to complete each task also in good timing. I actually felt proud of myself checking off each completed task. This - To Do List APP is definitely a stepping stone .” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Alik Gerovitch: “Great app, with many needed features. However, repeating tasks are essential for any tasks app, and must be included. Also, when integrating with Google calendar, it would be nice if all lists showed up, not just one. Edit: These have been implemented! Increased number of stars. Now the only desired improvement would be a way to view tasks from all lists in one view.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Roxy Viven Dean: “I used to love Google tasks... I use it organize almost every aspect of my life. However I'm going to start searching for a new app because Google Assistant keeps trying to control Google tasks when I don't even have Google Assistant installed. It's beyond frustrating to keep getting duplicate notifications I didn't ask for - and yes, I do have Google Assistant disabled on both my Google profile settings.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Robert Tillung: “A few glaring issues that make me not want to use it. 1) You can't reschedule a recurring task without it changing the recurring schedule. Meaning, if a task recurs every Monday but you can't get it done and schedule for Tuesday, it messes with schedule, sometimes recurring on both days now or switching days entirely. 2) If a task isn't completed, it disappears from My Day. You have to go digging for it. there's no overdue section” – 3/5 in Play Store

Pat Jordison: “'Microsoft to do list' is a great and I use it constantly. One nice feature is that you can start your most important and group them at the top or with the sort feature. Other nice features are the ability to add steps, coordinate with calendar, & use due dates. It's very easy to use. You can share your list with others but not all. I think it may not work well between Android and iPhone. Haven't tried this recently.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cons May not be suitable for complex task management or collaboration.

Comments and Reviews from users:

K C: “The pomodoro alone is worth the app. Growing the tree is fun. The developer is responsive. I'm probably not far from premium at this rate, lol. Update: I gave in and upgraded to premium because I like it so much that I wanted to contribute. I took a star because I am a little disappointed after paying that syncing across all devices doesn't show the current timer on all devices. I thought I would be able to check my watch to see how much time was left when I started it on my phone.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Sarah Purcell: “Love the planning features especially in this app! They seem to match the way my brain works very well. I wish when you set a priority on a reoccurring item, the day you check it off it temporarily went to "No priority" until it's due again, when it would then default back to originally set priority such as medium or high. I also wouldn't mind a small button on the timer screen for designating that after starting a task, I finished it ahead of time, and I want to stop the timer early.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Rick Hodges: “I've tried lots of to-do apps and this one has all the functions I need. It has flexible snoozing options for alarms, persistent audible alarms and lots of cross-platform options, including in a web browser. You can back up, import or print tasks too, and view them with your calendar events to get a full picture of your day. And, of course, widgets. It even has a drag and drop Eisenhower matrix, something I've always wanred.” – 5/5 in Play Store

selgooGfOenoN ssenisuB: “The snooze options are inconsistent on my new S24+. Sometimes, the ringtone and vibration happen, but no popup. Sometimes, a small popup appears at the top of the screen, but it doesn't stay open long enough, and the text is not clickable - if I don't click the tiny drop down arrow fast enough, the popup is gone. Sometimes, I get a large popup at the bottom of the screen. Very inconsistent behavior.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Tkm Check: “I love this app. I've used it for years now, and it is great for keeping track of art project ideas, tasks around the house, and honey-do stuff. But, I bought a new phone because my old one was almost 7 years old and the battery wasn't holding a charge anymore. Unbeknownst to me, the massive list collection I've created CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED to my new phone unless I pay for the premium version. That may be the prerogative of the developer, but that's pretty low, in my opinion.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Beth Hartzler: “I've used the Tasks app for several years, and it's been massively helpful in keeping track of reoccurring lists (eg, stuff to pack for camping or travel), errands, and appointment notes. As others mentioned, it's not great to need the Premium version to share lists between people and devices, but considering the basic version alone is great, the price is worth it. EDIT, to Dev - Hadn't meant to offend by mentioning $, just acknowledging others' criticism and saying it's still worth it.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Vintage Creations: “Overall the app has been pretty decent. I found a great party to remain part of for quite a while. It's super easy to add tasks, rearrange them, check them off, and continue on. My biggest issue is that lately the app keeps losing server connection CONSTANTLY. And dragging down to refresh isn't reconnecting it like it used to. Now I always have to completely close the app, and even then, majority of the time it won't connect to the server again. This REALLY needs to be fixed guys, please.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Mae Price: “Honestly, this app is amazing. I was struggling to keep track of tasks and stay motivated in doing online courses, but I've been doing great since picking up Habitica. I strongly recommend for anyone struggling to remember or find reasons to do something consistently. Levelling up my character, doing quests, and finding items is so incredibly satisfying, and the whole app is free! It has a subscription model, but it's for unlocking cosmetic items only and doesn't change core gameplay. 10/10!!” – 5/5 in Play Store

It takes some setup to really make it personalized to yourself, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort to do that, it's an invaluable resource. It gives you so many features to be able to help you make each item you list being fully customizable, with reminders, rewards, penalties, great scheduling/repeat options. This app pretty much lets you customize everything. The one feature I think this app needs is the ability to "Fold" lists on a schedule, regardless of completion! Comments and Reviews from users:

Asta: “I love it! One thing I wish it had: history. I have things I do every day, and I wish on the calendar it colored in the days that I accomplished the thing. Just some data feedback on my overall productivity. Maybe I could start seeing a pattern where I tend to skip it every Friday or something... You get the point. But I really love how clean and organized the app is.” – 5/5 in Play Store

John Dossett: “I like the app, but it could be much better with just a couple of changes. 1. You can only set one reminder per list item even if you pay for the pro version. So, I have to repeat items to get the multiple reminders that I need. 2. The widget is VERY BASIC. Only one list per widget. You can sort list items, but you can't make a wiget with a composite list. 3. There are no options to customize the appearance of individual widgets.” – 3/5 in Play Store
