Karen Lonabaugh-Hartley: “I've been using the Fabulous app for about 1 week now and I'm really excited about it. I'm still discovering all it has to offer, believe me it seems like it's endless. You can start with small goals, set alarms, listen to meditations, choose exercises, it's truly amazing! I highly recommend this very useful and interactive program!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Katherine Steen: “The good: Great advice, easy to use steps towards habit change. Really great mini lessons for motivation. Beautiful graphics. The not so good: the sound effects are kitchy, there is too much to wade through just to get to your habits for the day. Pop-ups and constant notifications are annoying- there should be a happy medium somewhere there. They are useful but its overkill to have 7 in a day.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Raye Wysocki: “I really wanted to love this app but notifications for planned reminders are not working even after restarting my phone. It's crucial to keep me on my routine and without those I have to remind myself to look at my phone constantly to see if I have a task coming which leads to the exact distraction and procrastination I'm trying to avoid in the first place. I didn't want to believe the other reviews and now I've wasted $20 on a year of service after I thought I was getting a 7 day trial first.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Marlena Baker: “Edit: From 4☆ to 3☆ - Unfortunately, what they don't let you know up front is that the app does not have the ability to sync across devices. They said they that they are working on it, but an app should have that as a basic feature before being released, especially if it's a paid app. I bought the year's subscription and installed it first on my secondary phone. I have not been able to restore my account it to my primary phone. The restore option fails, and the help feature won't work.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Sarah Creasey: “A super helpful task tracker that helps to motivate and reward you for any goal. Its great to care for a little bird and see its personality grow, and Finch has resources to help when days are hard like breathing exercises or back ground noise. I use this daily without having to remind myself to do it. Plus the customization options are plenty and adorable” – 5/5 in Play Store

Jason G: “I have one of those mindsets where I can't do something for myself unless I'm getting some kind of reward, and the result of the action itself doesn't count. This app helps a lot with that. While it isn't much, the simple points/stars you get for accomplishing a task is motivating since I get to know that my little finch explores. At first I thought it was silly, but I really got to care for him, and was motivated to get to see what he discovered next. This app is simple and effective!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cons May not be suitable for everyone, some features may require a paid subscription

Comments and Reviews from users:

Brett Lester: “I love the organization & motivation this app provides, the first week I've had it has gone great! I'm only giving three stars because after one week my notifications for the app have stopped working. I did not change any notification settings, nor is my phone in battery saver mode. Hoping this gets fixed soon but doubtful because on reddit some folks have had this problem for over a year.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Howard Harris: “App is very fun and addictive, but crashes so much and is very buggy with sync errors constantly on Android, every time I use the app. Edit: Thank you for the suggestion Habitica team. Unfortunately, updating the app doesn't fix it. I've had issues with sync for as long as I've used the app. My partner also has these problems on iPhone. We click something in app like checking a completed task or opening the armoire, and nothing will happen until we refresh. Other apps work fine, WiFi good” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Carolina Robles: “Love it so far! I'd love it more if the stats broke the data down by time spent on tasks. I use it to keep me from taking too long on certain tasks in the morning- to keep me on task so I am out the door on time. I'd love it if the statistics took this into play. For example, showing the percentage not just of tasks completed versus not, but of tasks completed on time versus not on time.” – 4/5 in Play Store

bcied mom: “I used Routinery for the first time today, and it's a big upgrade from a checklist. I didn't realize how much time I was frittering away between tasks before; Routinery jumps right to the next countdown, which helps keep me moving forward smoothly. I encountered one problem with the app: at the very end I was given a summary screen, but unfortunately some of the fonts were so faint and gray that I couldn't read them easily. I also couldn't zoom the screen to read them. Specifically, the titles and habits are legible, but the quote, the times, and the "Edit >" are painful to try to read. I haven't had this happen with other apps, so I wish the designers would realize that some people have small screens or 50-year-old eyes, and revisit their font selection! Edit: Switching to dark mode helps with the legibility, but it's still a little tricky to read.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Cons The app may not be suitable for everyone, and some users may find it difficult to stick to the study schedule.

Comments and Reviews from users:

Avery Moran: “Easy to use and has genuinely helped me focus. I like that certain apps can still be allowed so I can listen to Spotify, have a show on in the background, etc. I have 2 problems with the feature though. 1, it costs in-game currency, which can be annoying for necessary apps. Needing to check my front door camera on my security app shouldn't penalize me. 2, there's no option add Netflix to the list. Small issue, yes, but I like the background noise of shows I've already watched.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Lindsey Dorsey: “Pretty cool! There is a bug though. There are times when you are tapping a button, or trying to move on to the next part in the conversation where it seems like it just isn't registering your tap. It will make the sparks to show that you have tapped, but then nothing will progress. You have to tap several times before it will register. Fix this issue and it will be a great app.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Features Make your daily routine easy with a science-based ADHD Planner & Organizer/Timer
Pros Easy to use, helpful for people with ADHD
Cons Can be expensive, not as comprehensive as some other options

Comments and Reviews from users:

Sara lynch: “I like this app a lot but I wish you could see an overview of all of your tasks in one view of the week and wish you could swipe. The 'do task later' doesn't work, it just stays on the screen instead of the option to add it to a later block. Also, you can't go back and tick off repeated tasks from a previous day if you didn't have a chance to tick off at the time. The app has a lot of potential, but I think I'll have to cancel my sub because it's not ux friendly yet...” – 3/5 in Play Store

Don Yash: “I've used the app daily for about 4 months now and really like it. My use for it is music practice. I have an ever changing list of exercises, scales, songs to learn, etc. Having multiple tasks and the ability to reorder the tasks is great. This keeps me on track and moving along with covering all items for the day. One feature that I would like to suggest is the ability to rank the routines. This would allow the daily list to be displayed as an ordered list, no matter which day. Thanks!” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Emma Lalonde: “The only app that's actually helped! The distraction box is a game changer for me, I actually completed a 30 min task in 30 mins instead of my usual 4 1/2 hours. I did the free trial but I can't afford to keep it right now, hopefully I'm able to in the future bc it's seriously a great app! The only thing I'd suggest is to make a widget available of your task list, etc.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Lindsay Blank: “This app has been really helpful, however, I have two suggestions to make it better. 1. More sound control options. I would like to be able to choos the song rather than have it randomly generate. The only way to change the music is to exit and reenter the app or write down a distraction. Also, I don't want the music to change when I write down a distraction. 2. Let us have task lists that we can reuse. I don't want to have to remake my task list every day.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

K Terry: “I really enjoy using the app! Being able to customize all of my rewards, achievements, attributes, etc makes me want to stick to my routines and complete my to-do list a lot more. However I have found a bug: I created an achievement where the goal was to gain a certain number of tomatoes from pomodoro sessions. After I collected the number, I remembered the achievement and went to check on it and it still said I was 0% of the was to getting it.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Matthew Dernar: “Finally a task/reminder app that has a fun user interface that doesn't have a subscription model. Just pay once. Definitely a lot of work up-front until you get used to how to create the schedule/tasks/rewards and put it together. After you get the hang of it you can really get down into some deep details about getting your life together. Trying to use it for 2024 and so far things are going really well. It's fun to come up with Shop "items" to reward myself with for completing tasks regularly.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Faerie Fire: “This app is off to a good start. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement. The challenge area isn't that intuitive nor does it really pump you up to complete. The modules are interesting and informative but the prompts and journaling lack luster. Would love to see an area to put the steps for your big focus and would also love to have two other big priority spaces. So far any seminars have been at times I work and are not recorded in case you miss it. Excited for updates.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Joy Schneider: “This app really is great for helping you understand and manage ADHD. The content is extremely relevant and immediately applicable. I highly recommend it but only give it 4 stars because I would like to see two changes: 1. Fix it so the audio doesn't restart when you click to the next section of an assignment. 2. I'm not against paying for a good thing but I can't justify a year subscription because I struggle with consistency and the month to month cost is 3Xs the yearly subscription cost.” – 4/5 in Play Store

The Voice being unable to experience emotions other than through stories is a unique but powerful element that also helps you better understand the role your emotions play, and to see the usefulness in ones that seem bad. It's clear how much care and research went into creating this app, and it definitely worked. Some of the dreams have actually made me sob. Alyssa M: “interesting, fun, thought provoking to a point. I wish we could put our own answer to any of the questions. maybe integrate some ai into this so it can adapt to our own answers provided, then I think 5* for sure. some of the options just aren't answers I would give. other than that, the visuals are well laid out, I can feel the cold, then the slight warm up coming. Expected. You have adhd! But they really help in the long term. It's just a matter of starting to use it whenever you can, and eventually, you look forward to it, and it helps my productivity so SO much. Danielle Morse: “I have been enjoying this app so far. The lessons are short (like my attention span sometimes!) and are quick and easy to go through. I've only completed a few lessons, but have already picked up some good tools for my everyday life. I have not been formally diagnosed with ADHD, but exhibit many symptoms of it. As such, many of the stories in the app resonate with me. The only thing that is annoying is that it keeps asking me to leave feedback, even after I already did.” – 5/5 in Play Store

S. Dyner: “I am undiagnosed and pretty sure I've never had hyperactivity, but an attention deficit of some kind has plagued my whole working life. I'm trying this because I've run out of options for help getting this under control. I like all the strategies so far; they seem like things I can remember to use, that will stop me from panicking while I try to sort out huge piles of paperwork.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Paul DiCarmine: “It definitely requires clear focus to play the game, and is, at least initially, fun. However, despite my phone meeting the performance requirements, the game glitches when the game speed increases, just when you are achieving peak focus, making it incredibly frustrating to play and ultimately counter productive.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Charlie Solomon: “It's definitely fun and personally I don't mind the price BUT I wouldn't recommend if you have shoulder issues as their aren't alternative controls for the navigation and after a Misson or two my shoulders hurt plus it tends to get really laggy once you get pretty fast or catch up to the creature which is extremely frustrating and makes it hard to progress.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Pablo Nunez: “This app has helped me a lot in keeping me on top of everything.” – 4/5 in Play Store

Rowan Clark: “Buggy. I can't add rooms without having to pay for a plan because I clicked over five rooms, tried to remove one I misclicked, then tapped the back button. It thinks I selected those rooms when I did not and my only option was to pay if I wanted to add a chore to my room since it would not let me. It seems like a good layout in theory, but with this as an introduction I was not able to use the app.” – 2/5 in Play Store
